2026-27 SICI Fellows
The 2026 SICI Fellows are improving access to quality care, developing digital and physical infrastructure, creating new economic opportunities, and improving education for all. They are social entrepreneurs, civic innovators, and non-profit leaders. Focusing on six Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and operating across 11 countries, this cohort exemplifies the strength and promise of cross-sectoral, cross-community social problem-solving.
Ashot Gabrielyan
Ashot Gabrielyan (Ed.M. ‘27) is the founder and Executive Director of Janeh, which utilizes narrative-driven quest games to transform displaced children from passive aid recipients into active protagonists, tackling the chronic stress and social isolation that prevent successful integration in post-conflict environments.
Barbara Birungi Mutabazi
Barbara Birungi Mutabazi (Ed.M. ‘27) is the founder and Legacy Director of Women in Technology Uganda and the Program Director for ElevateHer360, a digital livelihoods program that helps young women in Uganda move from skills training to their first paid work, strengthening economic agency and addressing the broken link between learning and earning that leaves thousands trained but still excluded from income opportunities.
Hassam Ali
Hassam Ali (MPA/ID ‘27) is the co-founder and CEO of GBIST, which aims to transform youth unemployment in Pakistan’s most isolated region into local economic opportunity by providing demand-driven technical education in healthcare and tourism. GBIST has trained 3,000 individuals in just four years, with plans to scale.
Jordan O’Reilly
Jordan O’Reilly (MC/MPA ‘27) is the founder of Evn, a government tech platform that redesigns how disability funding is delivered at the national level by creating digital public infrastructure needed to make self-direction policy work at scale, giving people with disability greater autonomy while improving outcomes and sustainability for governments around the world.
Justin Lee
Justin Lee (MPP ‘27) is the founder and CEO of Jexim, which enables localized production of durable, high-performance roads through advanced asphalt material technologies, tackling unequal road access while advancing a broader mission of equitable access to infrastructure that helps communities access opportunities, not remain cut off from them.
Maralmaa Chinzorig
Akonkwa Mubagwa (MC/MPA ‘26) is the co-founder and CEO of Winko Solar, which aims to provide solar-powered oxygen systems and cold chains to tackle the critical problem of limited access to life-saving medical solutions in underserved and off-grid communities.
Phyllis Mugadza
Phyllis Mugadza (PhD ‘27) is the founder and CEO of Sprxng, a menstrual health company developing Ori, a patented reusable menstrual disc with an intuitive design that makes sustainable period care easier to adopt, while delivering drug-free menstrual pain relief for people whose periods disrupt school, work, and daily life.
Pratik Nair
Pratik Nair (DrPH ‘28) is the founder and CEO of functional, which delivers a short term youth mental health intervention that disrupts the one-size-fits-all ongoing clinical care model by addressing the personal, social, and societal root causes of struggle, improving day-to-day functionality, and offering youth a sustainable skill set.
