Jordan O’Reilly

Jordan O’Reilly OAM, is an Australian social entrepreneur working to transform how disability support is designed and delivered. 

Growing up alongside a brother with disability, Jordan saw early how the right support can expand a person’s independence and opportunities in life. That experience has shaped a 15-year career building new and innovative models of disability support. In 2011, Jordan co-founded Fighting Chance, an NGO which has grown to support more than 1,200 people and employ over 1,000 staff across Australia. In 2015, he co-founded Hireup, a pioneering digital platform that enables people with disability to find and hire support workers in their local communities. Hireup has since supported more than 30,000 people and paid more than A$1 billion in support worker wages. 

Jordan is now building Evn, a govtech platform designed for the next generation of self-directed disability systems. Evn brings together modern digital infrastructure and smart policy design to make complex funding systems easier for individuals to navigate, while giving governments better tools to administer personalised support. The ambition is to build the digital tools that allow self-directed support to work better for everyone, anywhere in the world. 

Jordan is currently completing a mid-career Master in Public Administration at Harvard Kennedy School, where he is focused on technology, entrepreneurship and public policy. This follows a Churchill Research Fellowship across Europe and the United States examining how digital transformation can improve the delivery of government-funded social services. 

Jordan’s work has been recognised through the Medal of the Order of Australia, EY Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year, the Google Impact Challenge and the Queen’s Young Leaders Award.
