A New Era of Philanthropy: Ten Practices to Transform Wealth into a More Just and Sustainable Future
November 3 @ 12:00 pm – 1:15 pm
Join nationally recognized philanthropic leader, lawyer, and advisor Dimple Abichandani for a conversation on her new book, A New Era of Philanthropy. Dimple provides a timely and practical blueprint for how donors and leaders can move beyond traditional grant-making to meet the urgency of this moment.
Drawing on more than two decades of reimagining what giving can achieve, including her work as Executive Director of the General Service Foundation, where she led grant-making centered on racial and gender justice, and as Executive Director of the Henderson Center for Social Justice at UC Berkeley School of Law, Dimple will share ten practices for transforming wealth into a force for systemic change.
The conversation will be moderated by HKS alum Anmol Mehra, who brings both questions and his own experience from the affordable housing arena. Whether your interests lie in philanthropy, impact investing, nonprofit leadership, or what it will take to finance social change, bring your lunch, and come ready for a candid and thought-provoking dialogue.
All HUID holders are welcome.
