Kirsten Soong

“I believe in health equity and that providing people access to live a life without pain is a human right.”

Kirsten Soong earned her MBA from the Harvard Business School in 2022. She is driven by solving the biggest problems in healthcare and democratizing access. Kirsten is the Founder and CEO of FeatherHealth as she believes living a life without pain is a human right and is fueled by her own journey with a chronic illness. Kirsten most recently worked as a Senior Growth Marketing Strategist at Kaia Health, a startup digitizing multimodal therapies for chronic diseases including chronic pain. Previously, she worked in grassroots organizing managing the Chicago Planned Parenthood’s Action Fund working on the healthcare bill. She was then asked to be the Lead Director for the San Francisco office, coordinating campaigns for the ACLU, Oxfam America and Equality California where she grew the office from a team of 2 people to 40+ people as one of the most successful fundraising offices in the country. Wanting to learn how to further impact communities she was accepted into the Coro Fellowship in Public Affairs. Inspired by the power of individuals coming together through grassroots organizing and disruptive innovation from working in an accelerator during Coro, Kirsten decided to join Google. She worked as the Head of Google Maps Market Development managing two teams responsible for tens of millions of revenue per year.

Kirsten received her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan. Kirsten’s two loves are dogs and DJ’ing. As a Cheng Fellow, Kirsten worked to provide safe, affordable, and accessible healthcare solutions to people in underserved communities who battle chronic pain by providing a community-driven digital platform with personalized and alternative treatments through FeatherHealth.
