Strategy Intensives

Strategy Intensives are facilitated sessions designed to address a pressing challenge for a social changemaker or organization by leveraging the collective wisdom of experts, peers, and practitioners.

Led by SICI’s staff and faculty in close collaboration with SICI’s extended Harvard and global networks, participants benefit from expert advice and the opportunity to connect with a diverse group of stakeholders, allowing them to build the networks they will need to thrive.

Strategy Intensives are open to experienced and aspiring social innovators alike who are navigating inflection points, periods of uncertainty, or barriers blocking progress. These sessions are 60 minutes and take place virtually, unless otherwise noted.

This program aims to help social innovators:

  • Clarify and define a key strategic challenge they are facing
  • Gain fresh, cross-sector perspectives from trusted experts
  • Identify concrete next steps and new avenues forward
  • Expand their networks with aligned partners and advisors

The Experience

SICI recruits and orients 3-5 experts with diverse perspectives and relevant experience related to a scoped challenge. For instance, for a homelessness organization in Slovakia dealing with a sudden influx of Ukrainian refugees (this is a real example from our network), we might involve crisis response specialists, a United Nations representative, a workforce training expert, and a philanthropy expert with experience in the region. Intensives take place virtually unless otherwise noted.
