Eshwar Bandi

“I am working toward a socially inclusive, economically vibrant, and environmentally sustainable world.”

Eshwar Bandi is pursuing his Master’s in Education at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. He is the Co-founder and Director of Inqui-Lab Foundation – a nonprofit organization working towards nurturing problem-solving capacity among young people from low-income communities in India. Eshwar and his team are helping students from the most marginalized sections of the society identify and engage with the problems in their communities by providing them with the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to thrive in the 21st century. As a Cheng Fellow, Eshwar is working to scale Inqui-Lab Foundation while maintaining the organization’s focus on social impact.

Eshwar is an engineer by education and an educator by passion. Before co-founding Inqui-Lab, he worked as a Teach for India fellow teaching fifth and sixth graders in an affordable private school in the old city area of Hyderabad, Telangana. Post TFI fellowship, he worked as a Senior Product Manager at the education non-profit – Sikshana Foundation to extend his grassroots understanding and to implement education interventions at scale. Prior to transitioning to the social sector, Eshwar worked at IBM for five and half years as a software engineer. Eshwar is a Fulbright-Nehru Master’s Scholar, WIPRO seeding fellow, UNLEASH fellow, InnovatED entrepreneur, and was featured in the book “Grey Sunshine : Stories from Teach for India” for his leadership.
