Pallavi Khare
“Transformation starts when we realize that the first step to being our whole selves is unlearning.”
Pallavi Khare earned her Master’s in Public Policy at the Harvard Kennedy School, and represented India as the Fulbright Nehru Masters Scholar in 2022. She is the Co-Founder of WeUnlearn — a non-profit helping India’s youth build their self-efficacy and lead gender-equitable lives. She and her team are building their flagship product – an AI based chatbot to help underserved adolescents overcome harmful gender norms across topics like bullying, body shaming, harassment, unhealthy relationships, sex education, gender stereotypes and online safety. Pallavi faced gender abuse and discrimination during her adolescence and she did not have any solutions to help her. She wants to empower adolescents to overcome such issues from an early age and prevent decades of trauma.
Prior to HKS, Pallavi worked at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation for 5 years to improve womens’ agency in public health in India. Before that she was a consultant at Bain & Company. Pallavi has a B.Tech from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi. Pallavi is a self-taught artist and has conducted multiple exhibitions of her artwork, mostly depicting strong female characters. She loves to cook Indian food and share her culinary expertise with family and friends.
