
Ally Philip
“I work to elevate the efforts of changemakers and accelerate their ability to lead social change.”

Ally Philip currently serves as SICI’s Managing Director, where she designs, connects, and manages across our educational portfolio including co-curricular, curricular, executive education, and online offerings. Ally also provides strategy, fundraising, and operational contributions as part of SICI’s leadership team. Since joining the SICI team in March 2018, Ally has played integral roles in SICI’s growth, from leading the SICI Fellowship and coaching hundreds of student social innovators, to organizing SICI’s first Social Innovator Showcase, to setting initiative-and programmatic-level strategy.
Prior to joining SICI, Ally was a Program Manager at the New England Grassroots Environment Fund. While at the Grassroots Fund, Ally developed and lead the “RootSkills” training series, equipping grassroots leaders with the skills, networks, and technical know-how to lead local change. She also managed the Seed grant program, administering small grants to catalyze innovative community initiatives. She continues to bring this experience into her work at SICI, particularly in developing and providing a platform for justice-oriented innovation.
Previously, Ally lead research efforts in coastal climate adaptation as a Doyle Fellow at New Hampshire Sea Grant. She also supported the maintenance and development of conversation easements with The Nature Conservancy. In addition, Ally worked internationally with the New Zealand Department of Conservation on indigenous wetland restoration efforts.
Ally is a Masters in Public Administration candidate at the Harvard Kennedy School. She received her B.S in Environmental Conservation Studies from the University of New Hampshire.
