Maralmaa Chinzorig

Maralmaa Chinzorig, is a healthcare technology entrepreneur and the Co-Founder and CEO of MeTools, a digital health platform built to bring modern, dignified healthcare to rural, remote, and underserved communities. 

Born in Khankh, Khövsgöl, in Mongolia’s far north, Maralmaa grew up in a place where extreme weather, vast distances, and limited access to hospitals could turn a health problem into a days-long journey. She lost both of her grandfathers before they were the age of sixty and watched relatives die young from illnesses that might have been detected or treated earlier. Those experiences shaped a conviction that has guided her work ever since: where someone is born should never determine the quality or continuity of care they receive. 

Maralmaa went on to contribute to Mongolia’s national healthcare digitization, helping introduce electronic medical records, laboratory systems, and integrated health technologies across hospitals nationwide. Yet she saw a persistent divide: the communities she understood best—nomadic families, rural patients, and clinics working with limited connectivity, budgets, and technical staff—were still among the hardest to reach. 

She built MeTools to close that gap. Designed around continuity of care, MeTools is a no-code healthcare operating system that allows a patient’s history, diagnoses, medications, tests, and treatment information to follow them across facilities and over time. Just as importantly, it enables healthcare providers to create and adapt their own digital tools and workflows without relying on developers. Maralmaa’s vision is not simply to bring existing technology farther, but to build technology differently—starting with the realities of the people conventional systems were never designed to serve. 

Her ambition is to bring innovation to the edge of the world, beginning in Mongolia and expanding across Central Asia and other underserved regions. Maralmaa is pursuing a Master in Public Policy at Harvard Kennedy School, where she is a John Kennedy Fellow, Navab Social Impact Fellow, and recipient of the William Woodward Memorial Scholarship. She earned a STEM-designated MBA from Washington University in St. Louis’s Olin Business School, where she was named a Charles F. Knight Scholar, one of Olin’s highest academic distinctions. She was also a Forté Fellow and Beta Gamma Sigma inductee, received the Bauer Leadership Award, and earned Honors in Innovation & Entrepreneurship. She is also a Project Management Professional (PMP), passing Above Target in all domains, and a Google Certified Data Analyst. Beyond healthcare, Maralmaa speaks six languages and volunteers teaching elementary English, Chinese, Korean, and French to children in Mongolia. 

Across technology, policy, healthcare, and education, the same belief runs through her work: people living far from centers of power and opportunity deserve solutions built with the same ambition, excellence, and dignity as anyone else. Her mission is to bring dignity, continuity of care, and world-class innovation to communities too often left at the edge of progress.
