Elisa Mansur

Elisa Mansur is a dual degree MPA and MBA candidate at Harvard Kennedy School and MIT Sloan. Elisa is also a Fellow from the Lemann Foundation, MIT Legatum and the Brazilian-American Chamber of Commerce. Originally from Brazil, she studied Business Administration at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro and launched her career leading and supporting company-wide projects in the infrastructure sector. After working in Silicon valley, Elisa became passionate about leveraging business and public service to promote positive impact in her home country. In 2017, Elisa co-founded doebem, a nonprofit organization that fundraises to pre-vetted poverty-alleviation charities in Brazil. As a lifelong volunteer in educational projects, Elisa later refocused her efforts to deliver quality care to children between zero and six years old by co-founding mopi, a network of home-based daycare centers in Brazil. mopi empowers women entrepreneurs with pedagogical and managerial resources so that they can run their own centers. As a Cheng Fellow, Elisa will take the learnings from mopi’s pilot and explore the opportunities to scale her venture across Brazil.
