Nyla Brewster is a Sophomore at Harvard College studying Social Studies and Computer Science. She is a Massachusetts native and has worked at SICI for the past 2 semesters. In her work as an intern, she assists with the New World Social Innovation Fellowship and provides strategic points of contact for Harvard College and SICI Nyla works directly with Ally, SICI’s program manager, on Fellow events and programming, as well as special projects, such as the Social Innovation Showcase.
Prior to interning with SICI, Nyla has been heavily involved with non-profit organizations in the Greater Boston area, particularly in the areas of advocacy, management, education and legislation. At Harvard College, Nyla is involved in Women in Business, Consulting on Business and the Environment, and Harvard Model Congress. Nyla spent this past summer interning in Cape Town, South Africa for a pro-bono legal center for refugees and asylum seekers. While she is unsure as to her future aspirations, Nyla hopes to work in the realm of social change, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
