As Community Relations Coordinator, Mu-Chieh Yun is responsible for building SICI’s communications strategy and strengthening internal and external partnerships, including with social innovation practitioners, students, and researchers. Prior to joining SICI, Mu-Chieh was the Program Coordinator at YW Boston (formerly YWCA), which aims to eliminate racism and empower women. Mu-Chieh supported the design, communications, and logistics of LeadBoston, the organization’s executive leadership program. While at YW Boston, Mu-Chieh was also a member of the team that launched the organization’s Advocacy Committee.
Mu-Chieh is passionate about the advancement of women of color and in 2015 she co-founded We, Ceremony, a digital platform that uses storytelling to empower and celebrate all women of color. We, Ceremony is responsible for hosting intersectional events throughout the Greater Boston area that promote gender and racial equity. In 2018, Mu-Chieh was featured in the City of Boston’s EXTRAordinary Women series for her work through We, Ceremony. Mu-Chieh received her B.A. from New York University in Art History and Social & Cultural Analysis.
