Date & Time

Thursday, Oct 19th, 2017

10:15 AM – 11:15 AM

Faculty Dining Room, Harvard Kennedy School

Join Cheryl Dorsey, President of Echoing Green, for a reflective and student-driven conversation on the role of Echoing Green’s leadership in the field of social innovation. Echoing Green has been ahead of the curve for 30 years, supporting more than 700 visionaries around the world who are transforming their communities, and Cheryl has been at the helm of the organization for 15 years. Cheryl was a social entrepreneur herself and 1992 Global Fellow recipient before leading Echoing Green; she helped launch the Family Van in 1992, a mobile health unit providing access to health care service across the city of Boston. She has a Master’s in Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School, and a medical degree from Harvard Medical School.

Cheryl will provide brief remarks about what she sees for the future, speaking to the role that Echoing Green is playing in the growth and development of rising social entrepreneurs, however we will reserve the majority of time for open discussion with attendees. We ask that students engage fully and thoughtfully while in attendance. Please RSVP by filling out the survey below and arrive prepared to contribute to a lively conversation. Coffee and light refreshments will be provided.
